I am a California state licensed speech-language pathologist with a passion for voice and communication. It gives me great joy to help individuals find their voice and provide them with the opportunity to communicate more effectively. As an opera singer, performing artist and vocal coach of many years I bring extensive experience to my role as founder and director of Speech & Voice Works serving the voice community and beyond.
I obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with distinction from California State University, Northridge and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
My clinical expertise pertains to voice and orofacial myofunctional disorders. I provide assessment and treatment of children and adults with various communication disorders including voice disorders, the professional voice, myofunctional disorders, autism spectrum disorder, neurological disorders, as well as speech and language disorders.
Prior to starting my own private practice, I worked in various settings, including the Voice Clinic at Language Speech and Hearing Center, Northridge, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Santa Monica and Malibu School District, as well as multidisciplinary clinics and private practices.
In my free time I enjoy music, yoga, painting, cooking and hiking. I grew up in Germany and came to the US as a young adult. Los Angeles is my much enjoyed home now. I’m fluent in German and English and I speak conversational French.
As a clinician and founder of Speech & Voice Works I strive to provide the highest standard of care in a nurturing, professional and caring environment to help you or your child meet your communication goals.
